About Cindy McLane

Cindy Mclane - SNNAPITCindy McLane grew up in the small steel-mill town of Monessen, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh with her parents (Walter and Betty), brothers (Wally and James) and a sister (Vicki). Cindy is a former Elite gymnast and also competed for Clarion University (Clarion, PA) and the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) where she graduated from in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

Cindy is certified as a Brevet rated gymnastic official and judges NCAA, USAG and AAU competitions. She was the former State Judging Director for Florida NAWGJ (National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges) and currently serves on the USAG (United States of America Gymnastics) board in Florida.

Cindy is involved in judges training for gymnastics in Florida and the Southeast and has produced the Junior Olympic Reference book to help educate gymnastic officials.

Cindy got into the medical transcription field in 1995 after retiring from coaching gymnastics to spend more time with her two sons and husband. She has her own transcription company and has done medical transcription for twelve (12) years and media transcription for six (6) years. In her spare time Cindy enjoys watching her sons play tennis. Her oldest son is attending Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ on a tennis scholarship and her youngest son is attending the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida on tennis scholarship. Cindy enjoys listening to her husband play and sing for the church band. She also enjoys taking her dog, Gator, for walks. She volunteers as a tutor for Clay County Literacy. Cindy enjoys dancing, working with athletes and helping others. Cindy and her family reside in Northeast Florida.
